Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I went and had my echo today. Talked with my cardiologist and now in the morning he is going to do an angiography and left ventriculography. He is going to do it at 7:30 am, of course I have to be there at ^am, why I don't have a clue, makes no sense to me. They did all my workup and everything today. I guess they just want me on time. lol I'm a little bit nervous about this since I have never had this done. I've always heard it hurts like heck, I don't like pain anyway. Also you have to lay still in the hospital for several hours after the surgery. I'm not one for staying still in one place. Drives me nuts. Anyway, when you say your prayers tonight will you say an extra special one that I will be okay. Boy, do I sound selfish, I hope your not taking it that way. I just know this group prays and things do get better. I believe in prayers. I doubt I will get to be online tomorrow it may be Sat. before I can let you know, how things are. I will try to get Bill to get online and tell you. I pray that all of you are feeling better and that all of our prayers will be answered. I love you ! Take care, Lu

I had that exact thing done in Sept. 1999. The procedure itself was entirely painless. I had thought I wanted to be semi-awake, but when it came time I asked them to get me as out of it as possible. " cluck, cluck " I did rouse maybe twice during the procedure, but it was all very fuzzy, and no pain. When they were finished they woke me up, took me back to my room. I did have local pain where they put the tube in my femoral artery, but mainly because I wouldn't stop bleeding. (Have to give the nurses extra work) You have to lie perfectly still after the procedure and that was painful, but the cardiologist gave me fentanyl and that helped my back. That was what hurt the worst,,,just from lying in one position. They finally had to get a 5 or 10 lb. bag of sugar (I forget which) and lay it on the wound to make it stop bleeding. No, I wasn't on any medication at the time that would cause bleeding. The pain from the procedure was not bad at all. By day two or three it was pretty much completely gone. And NO pain during the procedure. I will certainly be praying for you tonight and in the days to come. Keep us informed, please. Love, Sharon ===== __________________________________________________

Hi Lu, I am new to the group, but I wanted to let you know that I will be saying a very special prayer for you tonight before I go to bed. I have this beautiful antique cross that I found, that when I first laid eyes on it, I just had to have it. It seemed almost to draw me to it. I hung it above my bed, so I can get into bed, and put my hand on it and ask God to keep safe all my near and dear, and all the friends I have lost. It gives me a beautiful peaceful feeling in my heart, and feels like a good close to the day. My prayers tonight will be with you tomorrow. I wish you all the best and will be thinking of you. le
