Guest guest
I got to thinking how really great it is to read posts from people of all ages who are going through this; youngsters whose moms are writing in, women who are going through this with their boyfriends support, us aged folk, married or not who are beyond 40!! I give a lot of credit to everyone and particularly those older folks who are going through this later in life. What a decision. I know i could have lived with my smile, my bite, i could eat, talk, swallow, breathe, not that everything was 100% comfortable, but manageable. I think back to how my parents NEVER considered this surgery as an option, but have fully supported me as an adult going through it. THey thought i was beautiful just the way i was, short chin, gummy smile and all. Many of these traits run in the family. Many of my friends had the same response, why are you actually doing this, we think you look great. All i can say is, kudos to everyone and i hope that all who are in process have very good results. I was lucky to speak with two patients of my surgeon early on in the process and just to hear in their voice how happy they were with their decision to go through with surgery, was a big deciding factor for me. Off to slurp down my sherbert! katie
