Well... don't know about anyone else, but the conference was great

in my view. Yesterday, I wasn't too sure. Seemed to leave with more

questions than answers.

However, today, we had a great wrap-up session. Great time of

sharing and further bonding.

Guess who the last left (but not standing :-) were? Yep - I was one

of them gabbing - and a guy named Doug was the other. Our wives grew

weary :-) Can you believe that? Guys who can out-talk gals? :-)

Anyway, it was great meeting people, and hearing some info from the

docs who diagnose and attempt to treat us.

Don put on a great show, and he and his helpers certainly deserve

some praise.

Just wanted to post a note.

Still not home yet - perhaps tomorrow.

Hi , It's always great to hear about the sharing that takes place at

these conferences. I'm sure this bonding is an unexpected bonus to most new

attendees who arrive not knowing what to expect. If you or others who

attended feel up to it we'd love it if you could share more of your

technical notes on things you learned as well. I can include them in one of

the future MSA newsletters I send around as I did for the Boston conference

back in May.

See: http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/gcrc/aas/indx.htm

Click on " Patient Resources "

Then on " Multiple System Atrophy News "

Click on " May 2002 " and look for the

" SPECIAL REPORTS from the 2002 Shy-Drager/MSA Annual Conference "

Note dementia was discussed at that conference and Carol Langer reported

back on that to us in her notes that are included in that issue.

Take care,

Pam
