Guest guest
I had upper jaw surgery on Monday afternoon and am back home now. But I'm so hungry! Spaghetti-Os, juice and smoothies just doesn't cut it. How am I going to last another SIX WEEKS without real food??? I've become acutely aware of how many FOOD commercials are on TV! AHHH! Hungry!!! Guest guest
First, congratulations on being on the other side! As far as hunger, eat more often! In the first week of my no chew I was eating six to seven times a day. Some of those 'meals' were a 12-16 ounce home made chocolate shake. With premium ice cream, whole milk, and a bit of chocolote syrup, that held me for a while. If you're hungry, your body is telling you to bump up the calories. My OS wanted me to eat 2500 calories per day during recovery. I normally eat about 1400, so that was a huge stretch for me, especially when sometimes my meal would be a yogurt at 150 calories.
