Guest guest
3 weeks post op and I'm getting better every day. I'm on the no- chew diet still, at least til 4 weeks post op because that's my next appointment with my OS. And the way he talks, by 6 weeks, when he releases me, I should be able to eat just about anything! I started back at work today (Dairy Queen- part time job) and it was so sad that it took me my entire half hour lunch to eat 1 and a half chicken tenders and a french fry. It was so yummy though- chicken's like my favorite food so I was ecstatic. Also, I've seen some people on here mentioning how many fingers they can get in their mouth as a means of showing their progress. I'm at one finger, with a little space on the top and bottom of it. So it's almost like 1 and a half. Is that good for 3 weeks? Someone said something about four fingers, and I don't remember ever being able to fit four fingers in my mouth BEFORE surgery! lol. It simply doesn't seem possible now. The surgery is so worth it though- I'm at the point where I can really see what I look like now, without swelling and having my mouth closed, and stuff. It's not THAT big a difference, but I can tell, and some of my friends have noticed as well. I'm very pleased with the results.
