Guest guest
I had upper jaw surgery on Monday and have been home since Tuesday night. I know I'm supposed to hear some cracking and popping in my jaw when I am eating, but does anyone know how much is too much? Also, I had to go to the ER today because I was having shortness of breath. I felt like i had gas pockets beneath my lungs. They took xrays and said that might be it, a result of my bowels reactivating after the anestesia. Did anyone else have this problem? Guest guest
Has your surgeon given you the go-ahead to chew? I was banded for a full week, so wasn't supposed to open my jaws except to get a syringe tube in - was on liquid diet for a week. > I had upper jaw surgery on Monday and have been home since Tuesday > night. Guest guest
I am on a non-chew diet, so I've just been having liquids. But still, when I swallow I hear popping in my jaw. > > I had upper jaw surgery on Monday and have been home since Tuesday > > night. Guest guest
Hmmm. I don't know why you'd hear cracking & popping when just swallowing. I'd ask your surgeon when you see him/her next. > I am on a non-chew diet, so I've just been having liquids. But > still, when I swallow I hear popping in my jaw.
