It's been 3 days since my upper jaw surgery and I haven't taken any

pain killers. The swelling is uncomfortable and eating is hard, but

I cant say I've felt any real PAIN in my jaw. Is this normal?

I stopped my painkillers at day 3 too. I felt no pain either and i

am 3 weeks and one day from surgery and havent taken any pain meds

since. Nothing is really bothering me but when its time for bed and

i get a small amount of uncomfortable pressure in my jaw joints.

Yes, it sounds normal. There isn't normally pain associated with

this surgery (but lots of numbness). I was able to use childrens'

tylenol for relief of the discomfort.

Its okay - It went exactly the same for me. Not even tylenol.

Sounds impossible, but it was true.

Its been several weeks now and things still seem to be healing fine.

From reading the posts, I suspect its the lower jaw people who have

more pain.

I had lower and upper surgery and yeah never took any pain killers.

helped alot.

I never felt jaw pain. Not even while in the hospital. And I've

heard others say the same.
