I have the gritty sound in my neck too! I thought mine was because I have a curvature of the spine. I have had it for years. But now you have made me think it might be from the RP. Oh boy just another place that it has attacked! Thanks for the input!

Midge, I also expirence this, mostly when i am quiet and by myself i hear it.
