Hi All. Just wondered if anyone had heard of ph Jankovic? He is

an MD who is a movement disorder specialist. Had lots of good info

on his website from Baylor. Just wondered if anyone had heard of

him, or any experience with him.

When I last saw my internist, 2 1/2 weeks ago, she was going to order

some more tests asap. However, here we are - with me leaving for 10

days, then back for 5, then gone for 10 again - and still no tests.

Those I work with would really like to know (as well as me - myself :-

) whether I'm going to continue to regress or improve. If not

improve, then I really need to get someone up here to take over my

practice. The way it looks - with regression over the past few

months - improvement is not going to occur.

Anyway, got sidetracked (no - not me :-) My internist is no longer

returning calls or anything - so I wonder if I'm ever going to get

these tests the doc she referred me to recommended. (He wants these

tests done before he sees me.)

So, I'm engaging my hands to write to other possibilities for medical

care. This includes writing Dr. on tonight.

By the way... no... I'll make it a different post.

Professionally Yes, we have heard of him and he is a good doctor.

However, he is not as good with patients as some of the others - at

least that is the opinion of some here. I have never met him. I have

met Dr. on (not professionally) at the Boston meeting and he

seems to be a real 'people person'.I would probably trust either.

Take care, Bill Werre

My husband Leo has seen Dr. Jankovic. I think he is very good, not the best

bedside manner but very through. Ginger

My father is currently being treated by Dr. Jankovic. I would concur that he is a knowledgeable and very qualified doctor, but I would also have to agree he does not have a great 'bedside manner'. Another problem we have with him is that it can often take 3-4 months in order to get an appointment with him. If the situation is urgent, we will be shuffled off to one of the associates. I would really like to find a doctor in the Houston area with comparable knowledge (or one who at least has a base knowledge of MSA) so that we could go to one doctor consistently. Every time we go to Dr. Jankovic's clinic, it's like having to relive the entire MSA experience.

I will say that Dr. Jankovic has helped to improve the quality of my Dad's life through Botox injections. My Dad's eyes would close without warning, and regardless of what he did, he could not re-open them. He's had 2 Botox treatments which have really helped him in being able to keep his eyes open.
