Hi All.

I have a question.

Today, while attempting to write a progress note after visiting with

a patient, I found myself taking half an hour to get a simple page

hand-written. My hand just would simply would not move near as fast

as I wanted it. It was really odd though, I mentally knew what I

wanted to write - but it wasn't like my brain just had to get it out

(as I used to write). Instead, it seemed my brain wasn't too far in

front of my hand today. I had a numbing experience in my head just

prior to this, so not sure if it's an MSA symptom or not. Just

thought it was weird. This time I didn't overcome it too quickly. I

even had my wife write the second progress note for me (and she was

able to do so by me telling her what to write in a fraction of the

time it was taking me to write it). Just to jump the gun a bit

here... my writing was super-neat. I mean - it looked really good.

Far better than I do normally. And it was not " small " . Just took me

a long time - and I noted that I almost carved the letters on the

page (which was fine since it had to be on government " triplicate "

paper :-).

I've had times like that on the computer as well. Times where my

fingers just slowed immensely on what they wrote. I am a fast

typer. But there are times when I barely type at all, and there are

times when I peck along pretty good - then slow, then speed back up

(even just now). Admittedly weird stuff, but figured I'd ask. After

all, we're all a bit weird here - right?

I should probably clarify that after this episode today, I had major

neuro problems elsewhere, but I eventually recovered (much as I do :-)

Thanks in advance for any input.
