Guest guest
, I was only planning for 45 minutes, but the greatest amount of time was taken up because of the x-rays, pictures, and replacing the broken bracket. Other than that, the appointment would probably have fit within the designated time. The new wires that my OD put on have a hook of their own, right above my canine teeth. It's curved and bent toward the front of my mouth. That, along with the normal bumps and such on my brackets suffices for the elastics I'm wearing now. I'm now on a 4 week interval for the next 2-3 appoinments with my OD. How did your appointment go? If you've posted already, I'll read that, but I wanted to reply to this first. Guest guest
Hey Dammit, I had a pretty okey dokey visit with my OD on Friday. I told him i was afraid of him on that day - we have a great relationship and have been working together for a looooooong time. He laughed. All he did was (beyond saying how great i looked!), removed the elastics that the surgeon put on and he put new ones on, further back toward my molars where my teeth don't meet on one side, so again i still have five. these elastics are smaller, ie: tighter and a tad uncomfortable, but bearable in every way. He said he will call me on Monday and wants to see me again this coming week. it seems like he might see me each week for a while. Thanks for checking in. p.s. I can't stand touching my chin, the numbness.... i know i have said this 9,000 times! > > > > > Tomorrow I have my first post-op ortho appointment.
