Guest guest Posted September 20, 2002 Report Share Posted September 20, 2002 My mom's specialist for MSA is Dr. Tetsuo Ashizawa who was at Baylor in the medical center (Twin Towers) until a couple months ago. He went over to the UT system and is not officing in Galveston. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He did not treat, but he is excellent for referrals. Mom's primary care is an internist Dr. Lenz who is very up on MSA as he got all Dr. Ashizawa's referrals. Dr. A (as we call him) also sent mom to an excellent eye specialist and a Botox guy as well as to speech/swallowing therapist. We are sorry Dr. A went to Galveston but will continue to drive there to see him. Once we get mom into the van, the extra time to drive is not too big a deal. No matter how we do it, any outing consumes the whole day anyway. LOL Lenz is very close to the medical center and uses Methodist Hospital where mom just spent the last week with a kidney infection.
