Guest guest
Hi all! This is my first time back to the site since my surgery (lower advancement). Surgery was not nearly as bad as I had prepared for. I knew I would be sick b/c my body cannot handle anesthesia. So I had a lot of nausea post op the first day and night, which wasn't helped by swallowing blood (ick). But as for the surgery itself, it went great. I had virtually no pain post op and never took any of the prescribed pain meds, just advil and tylenol. My bite matched up " perfectly " even though my back teeth are not touching for now (the top ones need to be brought down and the bottom ones brought up, but horizontally they are in the right place) and swelling was below average. Still, I'd say swelling was the worst part next to nausea b/c it just makes you uncomfortable, feeling as though your entire head is congested, but it is quite bearable. Now I just have to get past the next 2 1/2 weeks " no chew " (I'm not wired or splinted)!
