The reason I know this is Shae when small had to get the shots for polio and not the oral. I don't know what the difference is there but that is what they did. Now almost all polio is given by shots and not orally. Good question!! I know while on metho we aren't suppose to be exposed to anyone who has had a polio vaccine for at least a week.... When I was on it... I ALWAYS asked before holding a baby...but guess we could be exposed in a grocery store...
