Upper jaw surgery ~ breathing questions

I am having my upper jaw moved forward (as well as the the lower

back) and I was wondering if anyone who had this done felt they

could breathe better afterwards? I imagine immediate post-op would

be difficult what with the tubes and swelling etc., but after a few

weeks has anyone been able to breathe better than they had pre-op?

I have always had problems breathing, nothing too serious, mainly

when I'm asleep ~ as if I'm not getting enough oxygen. I always

thought that it was just my nose, but lately I've wondered if it

could be my upper jaw as well. Since it is underdeveloped, I would

imagine it being brought forward might open up the breathing

passages both in my nose and throat?? I don't snore, so it's nothing

to do with those typical problems. Just wondering about other ppl's

experiences?!

Did the doctor do a bone graft on you when you had the upper jaw

forward and lowered? If so, did the bone graft come from the hip?
