I am about 3 and half weeks post op and i am still having trouble

sleeping and having " healing pains " that are sharp quick pains over

and over again where nerves are reconnecting and my stitches that

are left in my mouth sometimes hurt when i move my mouth the wrong

way. Has anyone tried Tylenol PM? Does it work? If it doesn't is

there anything else to take a night to help sleep without pain?

My wife sometimes takes that when she's a bit sleepless due to

preoccupation with work, etc. It seems to work for her.

If it's pain that's keeping you awake the Tylenol PM might work

fine. Also an Advil (Ibuprofen) works for me.

Also if it's like mouth pain (stitches, irritations, etc.) then you

might try some Anbesol on the areas that hurt. It will take the

pain away long enough for you to get to sleep.

Hi, I'm 13 days post-op, I've been using Tylenol Pm since I went off

the pain meds. I don't use it every night, but if I toss and turn for

more thatn an hour I take some. It works great, I sleep 8 hours

straight through and thwy say it is non-addictive. I did not take it

last night and had no porblem sleeping so I tend to believe that, and

the fact that it is OTC. You may want to try one with along with a

regular tylenol and see what happens. WHy take 2 if you do not need

them.
