No surgical hooks???

Has anyone else NOT needed surgical hooks? I just got back from the

OS and he said what I had was good (basically the back 4 teeth in

each quadrant have the little standard ortho hooks) and that he

didn't need anymore. I am only having the lower jaw done, but I have

never heard of this from anyone around here and I was a little

surprised. Not that I'm complaining, I just wanted to know if I

should be worried.

Also, my other good news is that there won't be any incisions on the

outside of my face, it'll all be done inside. I haven't got a date

yet though, he's going to call me this afternoon, but it'll either be

the end of August, or begining of Sept. I'll let you all know

I didn't have them, at least until my jaw started hurting a bit post-

op. Then the doc wired in two extra hooks, put on two rubber bands,

and the pain stopped within 15 minutes. Amazing!
