Guest guest
Dear Anne You wrote "it was determined that I did not have Parkinson's but a Parkinson's Plus called Multiple System Atrophy/and to make it worse they said Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Is it possible to have a dual DX such as this?" My husband Ken was diagnosed much the same way, but it was because they didn't know which he had. Later they zeroed in on PSP, but after brain autopsy it was determined indeed to be MSA and not PSP. However there are some on the PSP List I belong to, that have the dual diagnosis and some with even triple diagnosis . Whether any of these will prove to be the ultimate case remains to be seen. They are all so similar it is very difficult to separate the symptoms, and the care in most cases seems to be pretty much the same since the etiology is unknown and there seems to be no real treatment.
