Guest guest
It will be four weeks post op for me on wednesday and i still have all of my stitches in my mouth. They hurt when i move my mouth a certain way and when i brush. I do a salt water rinse three times a day and nothing seems to help them go away. I go back to the OS friday. Should i ask him to take them out for me since they are starting to bother me?
Guest guest
My stitches were not the dissolving type - they had to be removed by the OS. He took them out a few at a time over a couple weeks' time but they were all gone by week 4. I would definitely ask to have them removed if they were supposed to be dissolved by now. Guest guest
--I was told the stitchs would take 2 to 4 weeks to dissolve. Ask your OS if the stitches need to be removed or if they are dissolvable. Good luck!! Guest guest
Tomorrow I will be 5 weeks post op and on Monday morning, to my surprise, I felt something with my toungue and pulled out a knot with a long stitch attatched. I had thought they all came out but I guess not. Yes your OS will take them out. No worries.-- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " " wrote: > It will be four weeks post op for me on wednesday and i still have > all of my stitches in my mouth.
