Guest guest
I also forgot to mention that I'm only having lower jaw advancement done, and my OS seems to think my recovery is going to be easy enough that he wants me back to work on day 8 (I still scheduled 2 weeks off work, just in case). In case that makes any difference in your responses. ~Jen > Hello again! > > I recently took up rock climbing, and I've found it's been wonderful > for strengthening and toning. Guest guest
I would ask the OS to be sure, but the yoga sounds like a good idea. It's usually slow controled movements...yes exhausting and a good work out, but I would think less of a chance of accidental injury with this kind of movement. Let us know what you decide... > > Hello again! > > > > I recently took up rock climbing, and I've found it's been wonderful > > for strengthening and toning. Guest guest
I forgot to say that I didn't do any yoga practice for six weeks post- op. In my opinion, your surgeon needs a kick in the head (sorry!) for saying that you can go back to work after 8 days post-op. Take the 2 weeks, minimum. As for exercise when recovering, keep in mind that the bones do not properly heal for 6-8 weeks. > I also forgot to mention that I'm only having lower jaw advancement > done, and my OS seems to think my recovery is going to be easy enough > that he wants me back to work on day 8 (I still scheduled 2 weeks off > work, just in case). > > In case that makes any difference in your responses. > > ~Jen
