I also forgot to mention that I'm only having lower jaw advancement

done, and my OS seems to think my recovery is going to be easy enough

that he wants me back to work on day 8 (I still scheduled 2 weeks off

work, just in case).

In case that makes any difference in your responses. :)

I would ask the OS to be sure, but the yoga sounds like a good idea.

It's usually slow controled movements...yes exhausting and a good

work out, but I would think less of a chance of accidental injury

with this kind of movement.

I forgot to say that I didn't do any yoga practice for six weeks post-

op.

In my opinion, your surgeon needs a kick in the head (sorry!) for

saying that you can go back to work after 8 days post-op. Take the 2

weeks, minimum.

As for exercise when recovering, keep in mind that the bones do not

properly heal for 6-8 weeks.
