Guest guest
I'm in central Pennsylvania and I was told $1,900. I have opted not to do the genio though. > hi, > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very different prices > from place to place... > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > what's " normal " ? > thanks jo
Guest guest
WOW. that's amazing...I'm the one who heard nearly 4000! --Q, why aren't you doing it? (just curious) > > hi, > > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very different prices > > from place to place... > > > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > > > what's " normal " ? > > thanks jo
Guest guest
I like my face well enough as it is. I have never had a problem with my chin, my issue was really only with my overbite. The genio for me would not have been to " get a chin " as I already have one, it would have been to make my " face more heart shaped " , which I suppose is supposed to be more attractive. I actually like my square little face as it is though, and I felt that bringing the jaw forward with the added genio would have been too much of change. Also, the less broken pieces and plates and screws the better for me. I have pictures on site 2 if you want to see them. Guest guest
yeah cool I will take a peek and GOOD for you! I am doing it bec while I see a chin here now, when I close up, it looks like...well it doesn't rest smooth-kinda like, this is going to sound gross but asphalt...just kinda uneven looking...so BRING IT ON I say...we're going with MY chin, no implant and no screws...going to be all closed for weeks...but that's what I am thinking, not sure until this friday- pre-op apt to talk minor details! where are the pics? > > > > hi, > > > > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very different > > prices > > > > from place to place... > > > > > > > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > > > > > > > what's " normal " ? > > > > thanks jo
Guest guest
They're under Kimmill98 on site 2. There's only before . . . I have yet to have my surgery. Still waiting on the OS to call me with the date. I think I'm gonna call him if I don't hear today. > > > > > hi, > > > > > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very different > > > prices > > > > > from place to place... > > > > > > > > > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > > > > > > > > > what's " normal " ? > > > > > thanks jo
Guest guest
Neat! Just looked...and you seem to have a GREAT chin, round and heck waht I think mine will look like. does it rest nice when you close up? (not mine) Interesting brackets too...diff from mine...and looks like you have on your surgical wires (seemed thick)...when are you hoping for surg- are you " ready " ? On last thought, CALL them, I found that " people forget " if they're not reminded...best person to make this happen for you, is YOU! Go get em!! (are you going up and in? I am going up and in and over jo > > > > > > hi, > > > > > > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very > different > > > > prices > > > > > > from place to place... > > > > > > > > > > > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > > > > > > > > > > > what's " normal " ? > > > > > > thanks jo
Guest guest
The brackets are speed braces, the wires in the pictures were actually from March. They weren't surgical wires, although the wires that I have now are basically the same, I think the bottom one is thicker. I don't see my OD again until 6 weeks after my surgery so what's in there now is what's staying there (powerchains and all). My ortho gave me the okay on Tuesday so now I am just waiting for the date. I called the OS and he doesn't have the date yet. . . still waiting on the hospital to schedule time. My jaw is just coming straight forward, not up or down or over. My midline is off, but I was told that this is an orthodontic issue, not surgical because my nose, top jaw, lower jaw and chin all line up right. My OD said it can be put right with rubberbands after the surgery, I'm not looking forward to that! I have not had to wear rubberbands at all yet, and I hear it's not much fun, we'll see. It's kinda hard for me to tell how anything rests when I close my mouth right now as I am having a hard time finding a bite. Hardly any of my teeth touch when I bite where my jaw wants to naturally go. Normal, I know, but a pain, as it is causing me headaches and grinding, etc. Alright, well this is long enough, so long for now! Good luck with the ins., but I don't think I've ever read where genio is covered for anyone (sorry). Guest guest
I live in South Florida, my genio (which was not covered & I had to pay in full before surgery) was $4300. > hi, > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very different prices > from place to place... > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > what's " normal " ? > thanks jo
Guest guest
Thank goodness for you, you are the only person who comes close to my rate...makes me feel a little better that it isn't a BIG ptag for Jo, but just a normal price thanks > > hi, > > just learning that Genioplasty seems to be at very different prices > > from place to place... > > > > Mine was quoted at almost $4000...others almost half that... > > > > what's " normal " ? > > thanks jo
