Guest guest Posted September 27, 2002 Report Share Posted September 27, 2002 Shirley, Arterial fib is often associated with infection as the autonomic problems are multiplied when infection is present. Sorry that most nurses have never heard of Shy-Drager, but then they have not heard of PSP also. We need to educate them and show them by our calm example - learn the terminology so you can speak their language. Autonomic failure, orthostactic hypotension, ataxia, dysphagia, are words they understand better than Shy-Drager (which is no longer used).
