Guest guest
Hi , My jaw is still too tight to get a regulator in. I've recently tried to use a snorkel in the pool but I couldn't even get that in. For now, I've maxed out on my opening. After my last surgery, I went through six weeks of physical therapy and my surgeon tried to stretch me several times under sedation. He also injected botox into my jaw muscles so there would be no more muscle spasms. There is a lot of scar tissue around the joints and in the soft tissues of my face limiting my opening. The position of my upper jaw is somehow limiting the opening as well. With my next surgery (correcting the open bite I currently have by moving the upper jaw), my surgeon hopes to achieve 5 more mm of opening. Maybe then I'll be able to get the regulator in. If not, then I might a full face mask. One of our local dive shops has one they would let me try out. I've got to get back in the water somehow! Have fun at the concert and enjoy the beach!
