Dear ,

Do you by chance have lower abdominal pain, especially on the left

side? Do you have blood in your stools? If so, you probably should

have a gastroenterologist look at you and possibly do a colonoscopy.

We learned this the hard way. The GI doctor found an ischemic area

of my husband's large intestine - the blood supply was cut off

by a blood clot. If this is not treated promptly, the

area can die and must be cut out. Luckily, it was caught in time and

he is much better, not requiring surgery.

I don't want to scare you, but it would be wise to get

checked out.
