Guest guest
Sorry I'm not following your point. I thought you said yesterday you were for embryonic stem cell research as this was better. Hugs, Pam Research Pam Yes, I believe this to lead to the " slipperySlope " of embryonic stem cell research. Too many $$$ for the scientists to resist! Too many $$$ for the scientists to resist! So, we should give up all our antibiotics? How about giving up all vaccines? What about farming? Silly question? Perhaps. Until you stop to realize that in ALL of those and many other examples we are using other living things about us to help improve our lives. Should we fall back to hunter/gatherer days? Oops. Wait a minute! That would mean we would do the same thing. This is not a silly arguement. We must decide, very carefully, where we will focus our efforts. We must also decide when the greater good will be served. But NOT to the extent of a viable individual. Please, please note that difference. First, we should never use this research to create clones of ourselves. (Fortunately, it appears nature will make that a hard proposition). Second, we should only use unused blastocysts with donor approval. Third, we should be allowed to use our own tissue to help heal ourselves. No one should have the right to deny that. Again, just a few thoughts. And, yes, I do have a vested interest. I probaby will die before youngest son graduates from college. Are you going to provide for him? Are you going to help the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people and their relative in just the USA that will die because you and others withhold viable medical procedures. DON'T TELL ME NO! AND THEN PROVIDE NO HOPE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY!! And YES, I am YELLING about this. You see, for me and many others, this arguement boils down to this. Regards, =jbf= B.
