Guest guest
, Not sure if you remembered, but you emailed me. I responded back earlier in the week. Check to see if you have it, it has a lot of details in it. If not, I will resend. Try not to worry. Last I remembered was that both your ortho and surgeon thought that your result was good and my hopes had been that they could use elastics to pull your midline back over. My ortho knew right away he could not fix it my midline and told me so. If your OS and OD are happy, perhaps the elastics will work. I have to read back as I'm not sure what's with your chin situation. And about midlines, even after Surgery 2, it is not perfect BUT it is much much better and acceptable to me. I never went for perfect. So just know that if yours if off a little, elastics may be able to move it over enough where it is no big deal. Try not to panick and you should learn more at the OS visit next week. Also, food for thought ... it may be too early to think about another surgery for you, but if you can't get that out of your head right now, my Surgery 2 was easier. The first week is about the same but after that healing is easier. I didn't need a splint, was not wired. Healing was faster. As Cammie mentioned, I had issues with meds, but I also had those the first time around so nothing new there, and the issues were solved much faster due to my history with Surgery #1.
