Guest guest
Great choice. I found most of the other vans too high for a handicapped person. Especially when they are not very tall to begin with. They also ride like a truck. The mini van handles like a car. Has very small turn around area too. And there are no blind spots anywhere. I am driving my fifth mini van. The Grand Caravan is fabulous. Now I have the smaller Voyager LX. Love it. It is just big enough for me and three grand kids who are growing so tall I have to keep all the seats pushed back all the way. I carry my elderly senior ladies easily in my van. They can get in easily. If you get running boards, be sure the car wash can handle them. I had the experience of having some severely damaged once. They are so low to the ground. The mini van is low enough to toss a w/c in the back. I did that many times. The patient can just slip out onto the ground or just back up to the seat and get in. No tangled up legs. I had a Camray one time when my van was in the shop. Ralph could not go anywhere with me because he could not get in or out. I would suggest that you get the captain seats in the middle area . The bench is too far from the door and makes getting into it difficult. They are also much easier to remove if you need more space. Have fun. Send us a picture. Guest guest
I forgot. be sure you get the handicap discount. I did not have to pay the state taxes on mine. Because of Ralph's disability. -- Today's Thought: " If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. " Bok
Guest guest
Barb I never heard of not paying state tax because of a Handicap. We live in Pa does anyone know if this is true. Gert
Guest guest
Gert, Ask your Area Agency on Aging for this info and other programs which might help you. You can also try Public Health and Social Services. They CAN help you find at least limited help. Take care, Bill Werre ============================================== GFKN3790@... wrote: Barb I never heard of not paying state tax because of a Handicap.
