i will be five weeks post op on wednesday and i only have four bands

in my mouth. The problem is sometimes i can't tell how far i am

opening my mouth and i break a band. I am trying to be really

careful but i was wondering if this was a good thing or a bad

thing? My OS gave me extra bands just in case they broke before my

next appointment but he never said if i should be careful or not. I

need some advice if this has happend to anyone else.

Don't worry about it - bands break. Especially when you leave them

in while eating. Just put another band on. No big deal.
