Jeff is looking at the prospect of applying, though he's still fighting it. If we can keep his deterioration down until this spring, we will be in a much better position financially to look at SSI disability as an option. Jeff can convert to my insurance for the 24 months, although my benefits are not as good as his (high deductible, no network docs in the area). He is probably going to get a significant bonus in April, enough to keep income flowing for 6-8 months while we do the disability application. Jeff's symptoms are progressing more like ALS all the time. Breathing difficulties, loss of fine motor movement. He's been fitted with a hard and soft back brace that keeps him straight from his lower torso to his neck, and also leg braces for walking. The back brace has really helped lessen the back pain, so thank God for that small blessing. He's going for some pulmonary function testing on Tuesday, and is starting PT 3 days a week.
