Sharon,

We had a great time in Colorado. Hard to believe our only granddaughter is

already 3 years old. We returned from Colorado and two weeks later flew up

to North Dakota to visit our youngest son and then on up into Winnipeg. The

trips were great, but I was SO glad to be home. Sad to say, when we returned

home and started going through the mail we had a notice from the wonderful

IRS that we are going to be audited for the year 1999. I can't remember what

happened last week, much less two years ago. This should be interesting.

Also, my brother had emergency heart surgery while I was away. He wasn't too

happy that I was out of town when this happened, as I kind of watch over him

and check up on him. He drove himself to the hospital when the chest pain

started, they admitted him and operated the next morning. I told him he'd

have to schedule these heart attacks for when I would be in town. LOL He's

seems to be doing fine now.

Glenda, prepare to take back a big bear hug from me to Sharon. I do love

that girl.

Love you,

Gee ... I don't know. LOL Glenda and I figured it out one night... I

think about 8-10 hours.... LOL Glenda.... Help!!!!! See , I can't

remember either... Know I can make it to her house in an easy 2 day

ride...One day if I pushed it. Gosh, I would be of no help to the IRS if the

wanted ME to remembe back to 1999.. Sorry to hear abut your brother too... Is

he doing okay now??? Seems lilke when it rains it pours huh.

Oh pooh on the IRS! That's awful, and I'm with you

about not having a memory anymore. I do keep lots and

lots of records however, so those would have to

suffice if I were audited. Yuck! Not something you

need to be thinking about right now at reunion time.

Glad to hear that your brother is o.K. Did he have a

bypass/bypasses? Yeah you just gotta teach him to

only do things like that when you are available!

And how are you doing ma'am? Take care of yourself,

cause I am sending a really big hug with Glenda! Got

that Glenda?

Love you, Sharon

" You're right these are not fun to deal with.

Wonder if they go a way the longer we take the

medication. Seems odd that it took about 7 weeks

before I started to get them. "

Marilyn,

I started MTX about the same time as you, and now

I'm starting to get headaches that take a full

day to go away (I take two Tylenols several times

a day). I take my MTX dosage starting Tuesday.

But for the second timein a row, I've woken up on

Saturday with the stinking headache. Next week

I'll be starting on 12.5mg of MTX (up from 10mgs)

and in 3 wks, I'm scheduled to increase it to 15

altogether. I hope that I won't end up with a

stinking headachex100 in 2\3 wks time! My dr.

said if I start to feel better (with the RP) but

feel nauseous, I could try the injectible form of

MTX, but I just saw someone post here that they

inject and still feel the nausea. What gives?

(Oh, and the productive coughing finally stopped

just yesterday. it was probably a chest cold.

Anyone know what you're supposed to do when you

have breathing problems and you end up with a

cold? Sounds like it could be fatal. I know I

felt like I couldn't breathe one night...)

, I had terrible headaches with the metho but they did go away when my

body got use to the dose... I found that an ice pack on the back of my head

and neck really helped... Gosh I hope yours goes away soon...

Know that while on metho your immune system is further compromised and you

will be prone to more colds and infections...Be careful and be sure to see or

call your dr if you even suspect an infection....

I was on injectable Metho for a long time and had no trouble with nausea.

You need to call your doctor right away if you suspect you are coming down with a cold. I was in the hospital 5 times last year with respiratory problems.

Marilyn, sorry to hear that you have had the flu...Hope you are better soon.

Just sit and relax and read a good book... That's where I'm heading now... My

ear is beginning to flare inside I think.... Guess I spoke too soon. LOL

Hope it isn't and it just goes away... Don't want to up my pred again.. Been

doing so well... I think a nap is just what the dr ordered. LOL

Get better soon and know I'm thinking of ya.

Hi ,

Thanks for letting me know about your headaches. In a way, it's

comforting to know that someone else who just started on the

medication is also getting them. Wish that neither of us were having

them though. Yes, we both started on the metho about the same time.

I am still on 12.5 mgs a week. Have to work up to 15 here in the

next month. My headaches come on the day " after " I take the metho.

They usually only last the one day, however, when I did take 15 mgs.

a couple weeks ago, I had the headache for several days. Thought it

was never going to go a way. When you aren't used to getting them

and then all of a sudden you do, it's kind of frustrating and scary.

Have been battling the stomach flu the past two days. Spent all day

yesterday in bed. Called the doctor's office just as they were

closing and they said it's going around. Hope to feel better

tomorrow. Take care. Love, Marilyn
