First, Dale, you're certainly welcome to any pearls of wisdom I may

have been able to share. I assure you that I got each and every one

from someone else -- I knew from nothing about all this back when I

started out, just before the Tectonic plates shifted...

About this: I do have one thing I would like to comment on. After the

Well, I'm certainly an example of age being no barrier to surgery, as

long as you're otherwise healthy. I attribute most of the ease of my

experience to the skills and experience of my surgeon, but I believe

that, thank heaven, I had as easy a passage through all this as is

possible. (Maybe the powers that are just know that some of us have

very limited patience and capacity to endure hardship, and didn't

dare dole out a heavy dose to me.)

Of course nobody posting on this site knows more than your surgeon

does; I am not aware of anyone who's pretended to do so, nor of

anyone who's taken advice here that contradicted anything a surgeon

has advised -- I would hope, Zulu, that such is always, always

understood.

Glad you're coming to the end of all this. It is really, really nice

to have it in the past, and to be proud of the job your ortho and

surgeon did for you, with your cooperation, of course.
