How long till opening wide?

I'm 2 weeks post-op and can fit one finger width in my mouth when I

open it. I was just curious to hear from others about the progress

they had in opening their jaw wider and wider and how long that

takes. Thanks.

Hi ,

Well, I was splinted for six weeks post-op, so I can't really say

how wide I could open at two weeks. When my splint came out I

opened to 21mm. My doc said that was twice the norm, which is 10 -

12mm according to him. So, take that for what it's worth. Getting

the muscles moving again does take a while. Just hang in there!
