" Well, now that I have given my lecture for the

day, hope you all go out and

contact Medic Alert!!! "

,

Because of you, I went ahead and ordered a

bracelet. It says: " Relapsing Polychondritis.

Caution with endotracheal intubation " on the

back. When they call MedicAlert, they'll know

that I'm on prednisone and other meds. Something

to think about and I wished I had known: not too

many drs know about RP, so it might have been

better to say " connective tissue disease " because

it's just one more resource that they have to

look up (but I guess medicalert can tell them

what it is?). Bt i don't want to leave it up to

chance.

If you order by phone, you can have a bracelent

within 72 hours! Isn't that great? I feel funny

without it because I had to return it. It was too

big. Can't wait to get it back.

When choosing the lesser of two evils,

I always like the one I haven't tried.

glad to see you have one.... Hope EVERYONE in the group does the

same... Mine was too big too.... I went and had it sized at the jewlery

store... He did it for free. Kept the links..... good thing because once on

the pred I gained so much weight I had to have some put back in... Just a

little hint.... Keep the links if too large... !!

I had to take mine off for the MRI and felt naked without it... OH... one

more hint... They are made so it is almost impossible to get it on by

yourself... I found out the hard way, without reading the instructions, and

tried almost all day to get the darn thing on....Felt it was a real

challenge. LOL Just have someone do it for you... saves a lot of time. LOL

hugs
