Hi . Ready for the long winded response? Well here goes!

For my surgery they will be moving my lower jaw back, my upper jaw

forward, and split my palate to correct my bite. Per my Ortho I

have the worst Class III Malloclusion (sp?) that he has ever seen,

plus my mouth narraws as it goes back rather than being straight or

expand. For that reason there is not enough room for my tongue and

over time I have become more and more difficult to understand when I

talk. Oh yeah I have TMJ too plus I snore badly, probably from all

the mis-alignment. I saw another post from someone saying they

found out they detach your septum during upper jaw surgery and

reattach when they have finished. That would probably correct my

snoring problem.

I received appointment cards for my visit with Dr Poor, the pre-op,

and the post-op all on the same day. A few days later I received

the packet which detailed all of the information regarding what to

do about surgery, all about the class, as well as the date and time

of the class. A few days after that I received my authorization in

the mail to get my x-rays both pre and post op and to make the

appointments. You have to take your x-rays with you for your Dr

visit before the surgery and then have additional x-rays taken just

prior to your post-op so you can take them with you again to show

the OS.

I have my appointment for my pre-op x-rays and my last Ortho

appointment to get my molds and sugical hooks placed on the 4th. Oh

yeah you take your molds with you as well for your pre-op with the

OS.

Oh and by the way you are not being such a pain. I have learned

much from others who have posted information on this board and am

glad to give back what I can to share with others.

Take care.
