Guest guest
Thanks for the info again. It sounds like this surgery will be a huge positive impact on your life and the health of your teeth. Awesome! Well, after I got home Friday, I received the packet with my x-ray authorization and my post op appointments. I'm a little concerned though once again because my phone appointment takes place on Monday, September 20 (3 days after surgery) and my post op visit is on the 27th, but both are with a doctor named Dr. Wong and there is a note saying Dr. O' will not be there during that time. I don't know if she's on vacation or what, but I am definitely going to call on Monday to find out what's going on. I just feel a little cheated that with such a major surgery, I won't be able to see Dr. O' or Dr. Poor who know my case and what they did during surgery. I have no idea who Dr. Wong is. Also, I've had so much trouble with scheduling appointments with my ortho's office, and they have me scheduled to take molds August 25th, which is 3 1/2 weeks before surgery, and the packet says molds have to be taken within 2 weeks prior to surgery. Now I have to change that appointment, which was made in May, and I know there going to pull a " oh, sorry, we're booked " game, but I'll just have to insist. I also have to call the MFS department to ask how soon prior to surgery the pre-op x-rays should be taken and how soon after should the post op x-rays be taken, since it's not specific. Oh, it will be so nice to be about 3 weeks post op, on the way to recovery from this whole ordeal, and be done with all of these scheduling/appointment nightmares. Well, I've enjoyed " talking " with you, and I wish you the best of luck with your surgery and recovery. Maybe when we've had all of our operations, we should due a little Bay Area reunion next year with all of the Kaiser patients, or anyone else whose in the area. Talk to ya later. -- > Hi . Guest guest
, Hope this helps...Dr. Wong is another assistant doc to Dr. O' and Dr. Poor. He is very nice. You may also meet and be seen by Dr. Mall (sp?). He's great too, in fact he was the one who called me for my post op phone call. I met Dr. Wong and Dr. Mall the day of surgery. They asked me a few Q's and tried to reassure me. They also came and saw me in the hospital after my surgery. I also felt cheated until I met all these docs, they are wonderful. The nurse who gives the class will also come see you in the hospital. I had my surgery 6/17. If you have any Q's, I can try and help. > > Hi . Ready for the long winded response?
