Guest guest
Have a look at Fiddlesticks' Geocities site. There's a list of FAQs for surgery that may be helpful. Write down what you want to know, so that you won't forget, and take notes (or take along a tape recorder and ask permission to use it). Guest guest
Hi lbarton, I basically had no chin either, i love my new chin though at the moment i think it is off center a bit. Imagine that, loving it still. i was at the OD today and i was laying back in the chair using a hand held mirror and all i could think was, there's a chin, a real chin coming away from my neck and face, you know how it is when you lie back it's even worse! I had upper, lower and chin, 4 procedures in all. i am 5.5 weeks post op and NOW can say that i am really, really happy i had it done. i am still a bit swollen, am numb and my speech is not perfect, nor have i chewed any food yet in that amount of time, but it is so worth it. i remember thinking how bummed i was when i could not eat for about 3 days after having 4 wisdom teeth out. i feel like superwoman now! Be confident, keep reading the posts, ask ANY questions you have, it really helped me a lot before surgery. > I go tomorrow for my consultation with the oral surgeon-anyone from > the Quakertown,Pa area? Guest guest
--- Hi -thanks for your advice and I can't wait to be at that point you are at now!! I'm very excited and nervous at the same time but I am 33 years old and all of my life I always wondered what it would be like to have a real chin and NORMAL profile and have my teeth all meet together! I look at peoples mouths and teeth all the time and I get almost depressed becuase i hate how my mouth is now- but I wish you all the luck and if you have any before and after pictures I WOULD love to see them to kind of get a picture of what I can possibly expect my normal email is alphaclerk@... thanks!! best of luck let me know how things progress! and ANY pointers would be appreciated > Hi lbarton, > > I basically had no chin either, i love my new chin though at the > moment i think it is off center a bit.
