Guest guest
HI Aug buddies and everyone! Gotta be quick, last few hrs at work winding down, but HOLY COW! Got my final plan last nt...NOT doing the lower after all, meaning NOT wired for 6 wks, I can stillhardly believe it at all. I read all of you with out being wired and just kept thinking nice for them, but not going to happen-no way. I didn't want to be super disappointed...but ta-da!!!! So here's the scoop: Upper: Up, 8mm back 2mm right 1-2mm and genio forward 6mm... 2 wks tightly banded and then (HA! giddy) OPEN! no crunchy for a long time-who cares at all... 4 hrs surg, rather than 8 2 days stay , rather than 3 wooooooooooooooow! Still excited, scared, hopeful and 100% dedicated to an intense recovery...I know those 2 wks will suck, let's face it, with all this happening to my head, they should but that's alright. Have to deal and remember, this is my time at home...not everyday of my daily work like with big challnges. I feel so fortunate...and a smidge guilty (maybe it's the italian thing but I feel for those of you whom are awesome people who have to wait it out, I was totally freaked out for 6 wks coming, but ready.,..long term health is MOST impt so--but all I can think now is WOW. -I'm just not the person who the easier options happen to, but yesterday in general with other things too, it all lined up to form a happy face and I am so thankful just to have had the day. still working on getting the home online stuff running ok, but this weekend it will be come hell or high water, and I know I will need you guys to keep from hyperventilating at some point. So I will write this weekend and hope to hear from the aug buds who went already this week-prayers and thoughts for speedy recovery are with you guys... Cheers to all of us troopers to taking this on and to a GREAT future! I'll drink liquids to that !!!!!! JO
