Guest guest
I remember the post, but not the poster.. she used vita4life liquid protein packets (www.vita4life.net). Designer protein is simply a popular brand of protein supplement, found at most health food stores. I prefer MotherSoy unflavored- more protein per serving, & you can mix it with warm (not hot) foods and never know its there. Another popular brand is Isopure.. comes in both low and zero carb- and has " nonmilky " products for those who can't tolerate the usual choc/vanilla/strawberry shakes. These are found at most GNCs, & if they have a refrigerated section, they may also have the premixed so-called " koolaide protein drinks " made by Isopure (wish I'd had those when I was a fresh preop- no fixing, just pour over ice or chill, and drink). Anyway, these are the supplements you hear a lot about.. lately I'm also hearing about cheramino, but I don't know enough about it to share. *Any happy cheramino users out there? Share with us why you like it? Hope this helps, Carole! Hugs, Liane =) > Was it someone on this list that said they used liquid protein which tasted > horrible but gave them great protein to meet requirements? Guest guest
Thanks, Jenniffer Not only is the site helpful, it's downright entertaining LOL. BarbaraJean Re: protein I bought the Crystal Pro as soon as it came out. It tasts good, and is fun, but way too expensive, and you don't get the quality protein that we need. It is more of a Protein sweet tart snack.....NOT WORTH THE MONEY. IMHO Elvia

Guest guest
I went to the vigorous living website. They have everything. They also have a 10 pound bag of Optimum Nutrition and buying in this big size is way cheaper than 2 pounding it. I have vanilla and love it. shipping is a flat $5. Guest guest
For the tuna and salmon, I usually put a little butter and some Mrs Dash lemon pepper seasoning on it. Guest guest
A good source of protein I found is to stir together one of those 4 oz " snack " size cottage cheese and an individual bag of peanuts! It is a perfect meal size, easy to put in a small cooler with a frozen bottle of water, it is delicious together, and you get 19 gr. of protein, decent calcium, and the peanuts are good for you, too! Re: Protein > I also prefer fish. I love poached steelhead trout. I stock up on it when it's on sale at the local grocery store. It's more tender than salmon although they look very similiar. Poaching is easy and quick too. Salmon patties are good, We eat a lot of catfish at our house cause it's cheap, baked or lightly floured and pan fried in almost no oil (use non stick pan). > > judy in austin >

Guest guest
For almost all fish I put REAL butter and lemon pepper. You can microwave this or do it in the oven. I have done it both ways and as long as you err on the side of underdone...don't over cook or it will taste nasty...it is always yummy.
