Well, the day that I have been waiting for is finally here! The WLS

Support Group at KP Stockton! (Can you tell that I don't get to go out

much?!)

My son's therapists have left for the day, Grammy is here, and the

next 4 hours are all my own!!! Oh what to do before the meeting!:) (I

only wish that the support group was more than once a month!!) I can't

wait to hear the stories from the post and pre patients...

You will have so much fun. Exchange telephone numbers

and email addresses. Its a time for making more

friends. I know what you mean. I started going to

the WLS support group meetings (non Kaiser) prior to

surgery and I am glad I did. It really helps so much.

You can, if you have the time, go to different

meetings. I know I have been to Vacaville as well as

Richmond meetings. Sometimes you need to go more than

once, I know I feel like that sometimes. Well, have

fun and enjoy your free time.

Pam which one were you? I was sitting next to the gal

that just had surgery a week ago. Anyway I was so

disappointed in the meeting last night. It was a free

for all and was so unstructured. My friend and I

decided we need more than once a month especially if

it is so chaotic like last night. We are thinking of

starting one ourselves and it being twice a month.

What do you think?

Oh my Gosh, I would love to go to a meeting twice a

month, (if I can find either a respite care provider

or if Grammy will watch my son). I was a little

disapointed with last nights meeting as well. However,

I am just so grateful to get out that I could just sit

and look blankly at the wall for two or three hours

and be content!! :)

I was the gal in the back who inquired about if any

" larger " women were part of the group. You know, any

who needed to lose over 200 lbs.
