To the mom out there whose 14 year old son went to homecoming, I have a question.

Does he ever get bad gas at school?

My 14 year old daughter has been on this diet for 1 year. I just had to pick her up from school. She's a freshman and very reserved and quiet. She had bad gas after lunch and boys in the class made comments. So she's in tears and it was an awful experience. She's sensitive anyway, plus has anxiety issues regarding school. It just breaks my heart. I just held her when we got home. There's nothing I can say that will help. She gets mad because she's on this diet and still has stomach problems. Maybe she will all her life. I don't know. (She has celiac disease.)

Anyway, I just wanted to vent for a minute.

I think it might be from the stew meat we ate last night. Fatty meats tend to bother her.

Do you think that SCD Goats Milk Yogurt is more beneficial than SCD Cows Milk Yogurt? Would it make sense for everyone to use Goats Milk?

On pecanbread they recommend goat yogurt for ASD kids, and I think a lot of people have an easier time digesting goat's yogurt. But then cost and efficiency come into play...When I used to make goat yogurt, I made half a gallon of yogurt and ended up throwing away half that volume in galactose drippings. Needless to say it's rather watery =) So I think it all depends on your personal balance between what your body tolerates and what your time and budget allows.

Peace =)
