Hello everyone:

On Sunday my tattoo artist completed my tattoo on my right upper arm

(from shoulder to almost the lower end of the upper arm--about 4

inches wide, 7 inches long). It took 3 hours plus the previous

session of two hours. It is inspired by the stained glass windows in

my church in San Francisco. The central image is the hand of

transformation holding a yellow and orange starburst representing the

healing power of touch. To the upper right is a musical note

symbolizing a mind full of joy, below the hand is a heart symbolizing

a body filled with love, and to the upper left is a dove representing

a spirit filled with peace. It represents the transformation of

mind, body and spirit. Below the heart is a skeleton key and a key

hole symbolizing liberation--liberation from morbid obesity. The key

hole and key are colored in the pride rainbow colors.

It's still healing, but I love it! In two weeks when it's fully

healed my tattoo artist will take a pic and I'll put it in our photos

section.

So now I've joined the ranks of the " inked. "

I can't wait to see the completed artwork, Francisco. The naked (black and white) version was cool enough...I bet the final product is wonderful!Robynn"Azeeeeeeeeeeen! (the excitement is optional)" wrote:

Kay:

I got the tattoo in San Francisco at a tattoo parlor at Castro &

Market Street. It's called Tattoo and Body Piercing. Simple name.

Great artists.
