Someone (I think it was Marilyn) asked where I lived. We live in SE Michigan, but can travel pretty much anywhere around lower to mid-MI. Toledo is 2 hours from us. If anyone knows of any SCD-friendly dr.'s that would be great. The one my dh went to had never heard of it, and wasn't interested

Was that doctor open to working with you on SCD even though he's never heard of it? The doctor I go to has never hear of the diet either but he basically lets me call the shots on what medicines I want and everything else involved. I told him I like that because then we can work together and compromise on things instead of butting heads. I noticed younger, less experienced doctors will be open to this as opposed to the old timers who are extremely set in their ways of treatment.-UC - 1 yearSCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 4 pills 3 times a day - hopefully scd will help me get off these! No more Hydrocortisone or Prednisone!

Hi! I am new to this group as well. I've been on the SCD diet now for 5.5 weeks

and have seen some really promising results. I have had Crohn's Disease for 17

years so it's a big deal for me and I am so excited!

My doctor is also fairly ambivalent about the diet. Does anyone know an

SCD-friendly doctor in or near the Columbus, OH area?

Thanks!

Joanna
