Guest guest
Someone (I think it was Marilyn) asked where I lived. We live in SE Michigan, but can travel pretty much anywhere around lower to mid-MI. Toledo is 2 hours from us. If anyone knows of any SCD-friendly dr.'s that would be great. The one my dh went to had never heard of it, and wasn't interested Hi , Try Here: http://www.scdiet.org/8resources/doctors.html Take care, Pat

Guest guest
Was that doctor open to working with you on SCD even though he's never heard of it? The doctor I go to has never hear of the diet either but he basically lets me call the shots on what medicines I want and everything else involved. I told him I like that because then we can work together and compromise on things instead of butting heads. I noticed younger, less experienced doctors will be open to this as opposed to the old timers who are extremely set in their ways of treatment.-UC - 1 yearSCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 4 pills 3 times a day - hopefully scd will help me get off these! Guest guest
Hi! I am new to this group as well. I've been on the SCD diet now for 5.5 weeks and have seen some really promising results. I have had Crohn's Disease for 17 years so it's a big deal for me and I am so excited! My doctor is also fairly ambivalent about the diet. Does anyone know an SCD-friendly doctor in or near the Columbus, OH area? Thanks! Joanna > > Thank you for all of the information you gave this newbee.
