As far as I know the milky white sap inside sweet potato vines

render them illegal on the SCD, just as the tubers are illegal.

Carol,

I am not an SCD authority so I didn't speak up but from what I read I also agree

with you that I think the vine is illegal. However I am unsure about the

leaves.

The leaves contain the same white sap. When I worked as a

horticulturist I propagated hundreds of sweet potato vines for ornamental plantings

and I can attest to the fact that the whole plant contains that sticky white sap!
