Guest guest
Hi,I just made a favorite crock pot sauerkraut dish of my Mom's. Might be a stretch to call it a recipe. Easiest dish ever. And of course, can be done done stove top, on a pot. Layer sauerkraut on the bottom of your crock or pot.Add turkey thighs, perhaps two. Or chicken thighs. Or legs.... as you see, this is not a fussy dish.add more kraut, and cook. Really. that is it.And very yum. Oh yes, I have been skinning turkey thighs-- can be done after cooking begins, when the skin slips off more readily. I haven't been liking the turkey skin flavour. Chicken thighs I leave as is and slip off the skins to serve. I'm not sure itsounds very appealing to me, but it does sound very healing, so I'llgive it a shot =)When I was growing up we always had sauerkraut as a side dish with meat, usually my mother's excellent corned beef, but mainly pork or beef things. I liked it. I think the only thing would be, if you don't like sour things, you might want to sneak into it a little at a time til you get used to it.Back to topl
