Guest guest
Sorry for the OT, but I thought someone here might know something. So I was taking a bath late one night early this week and I got some water in my ears when I dunked my head back - and as a result I've had like a cloud-like feeling in my head all week and when I lean back I get dizzy-ish, which is then fine after a few moments when I revert to standing up and when I wake up in the morning my balance is off. So I had something like this in the spring, and the neurologist said it was just a loose piece of matter in the ear canals that was causing this - and that was common enough - but that time I hadn't, to my recollection at the time, dunked in a bath and gotten the sensation from that. At the time he said to wait it out - and indeed, it went away over time, just some more time than he said. So that is what I've been doing this time too, but so far it is pretty much the same as it has been since the 2nd day (1st day was worse). Also, I've been having episodes of sudden overheating - which may or may not be related to this (sometimes things feel related which aren't just because they are all happening at the same time.) So I'm wondering, since the water or soapy water or whatever it is causing this has not gone away, could that mean something like wax in my ears buildup which is preventing the water from exiting? Any ideas or suggestions how to deal with that or does that necessitate a doctor's visit to check it out? It doesn't hurt - it's just a bother - I've had to limit my exercise because I'm dizzy in certain directions and the doctor said stuff like that tended to make it take longer to settle. Guest guest
Seems to me like your inner ear is being irritated and is super sensitive for some reason. Not uncommon with those of us with gut issues. But you could read more about this kinda thing here; http://www.vestibular.org/ Jodi I dunked my head in the bathtub last week and got water in it. I have not been the same since. I am so careful with this kind of thing. Dunno what I was thinking.
Guest guest
My suggestion is to pour some peroxide in your ear, lay down, and let it bubble away for 5 to 10 minutes. If its an earwax problem, it will loosen it. If its a water problem, it will dry it up.
