Guest guest
Hello All! I just joined the group (thanks to Azin). I am really excited to get my surgery-and love reading everyone's stories. I had a question about the phone interview or Joyce have with you (It can be in person too). What kind of questions they ask, I just don't want to be caught off guard and then not get the surgery cause I screwed up a sentence..know what I mean? I started at 452-and I'm currently at 391.5-but have done this on my own. I got my surgery date on the 28th of July and Dr Legha said I want you 20 pounds lighter by your surgery date..Is 20 pounds in one month too much to lose? I know the bigger you are the easier it is to lose more weight in one week..but it just seemed like a lot to me. I only have 10 more pounds to go and am at the half way point pretty much so I seem to be losing it at the right rate.. Anywho-any information would be appreciated.. Hope everyone's weeks is going faster than mine! (Friday is tomorrow, right?!) )
Guest guest
Fancy seeing you here Delaina! So glad you joined... I'm hoping someone who went through Kaiser in SSF will be able to answer your question. I know there are a few who have just recently gone through the process and had the surgery recently. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope someone knows! Good to see you and good luck with the weight loss but don't try to kill yourself. 20 lbs in less than a month is a little insane especially if he is expecting you to do it in a healthy way. Guest guest
Delania - I met with susan before my sugery and she said it could of been done over the phone, there was this form that she filled out for me and asked me questions, and funny thing was two hours later i had my surgery pre op class and dr baxter ( gity) gave us the same form to fill out , and i asked who was in this class also if i had to fill it out again and she said no, it was actually a form that was in our binder they give you at your first class, i dont remember specifically but it was personal and medical questions relating to the surgery and you listed your medications allergies, highest weight, what goal weight you picked and she talked to me about how i felt about the sugery and how i was doing on the 100 calorie diet ect, it was nothng to worry about in terms of not getting your surgery, i really like susan a lot good luck colleen"Azeeeeeeeeeeen! Guest guest
Welcome!! And boy am I glad that you are here! As much as I appreciate all of the various posts from those who have come so far, (, Pam, Robynn, Francisco, etc, etc), I am glad to hear of someone other than me who has more than 250 lbs to lose. (Not at all to minimize the incredible success of the above!!!!!!!!!) It's just that sometimes, (speaking for myself, only) I feel seperated from the group just a little because I am so much heavier than they. (Does this make sense?)
