Guest guest
Are we suppose to eat watermelon? I don't see it on my " list " . Just wondering if there is some reason I shouldn't be eating any watermelon occasionally. Guest guest
Tina, I remember when I ate watermelon! I ate like a ton of it and was shocked that I could eat so much of it so early after surgery. I asked Dr, Umbach and he was like,, its water!! It go's right through you! LOL now maybe you should not eat to much but for me it was fine > Are we suppose to eat watermelon? I don't see it on my " list " . Guest guest
Hi Tina, I tried it and I was sooooo gassy afterwards. It sure tasted good at the time though. I have heard it isn't so good for us newbies.... Kay > Are we suppose to eat watermelon? I don't see it on my " list " . Guest guest
I can eat quite a bit of it and it doesn't bother my pouch at all! I love canteloupe too. I was just wondering if I was eating something that was taboo! Thank you Shell! Tina > > Are we suppose to eat watermelon? Guest guest
I first had it when I was about 6 week out and it didn't make me gassy. Guess I was lucky! Thanks Kay! Guest guest
Coincidently I just read on another site that watermelon can cause rapid increases in blood sugar and therefore cravings. It says that is why the south beach diets doesnt recommend it. > Are we suppose to eat watermelon? I don't see it on my " list " . Guest guest
Hmmmm...it doesn't seem to give me cravings. Thanks for the info though. Good to know! I'll be on the lookout for cravings after I eat it. Tina > > Are we suppose to eat watermelon? I don't see it on my " list " . I have not had any dumping or anything. Granted I only eat a little bit and that is it, but no problem for me. Miriam surgery 7-6-05 /226 today 199.5Tina wrote: Are we suppose to eat watermelon? Guest guest
1/2 cup only has 24 calories. Even 1-1/2 cups only has 73 calories.
