Guest guest
Hi Pam, You know with your back ground you may want to get a job where you transcribe medical reports for doctors and courts. You work at home. it would be extra money. I know of a lady that does it but I really dont know how you would go about getting a job. Maybe someone on the list does??? Just a thought...... Big Hugs Caryl Hi Cecilia, nice to meet you. (I had to do adouble-take to make sure that I was not on a board forsingles wanting to meet other singles! lol)My name is Pam, I'm 39 and, as most of you alreadyknow, I am a stay-at-home Mom of a 4y/o autistic boywho also has some health issues. , my son, hasforty hours of in-home therapy each week, which meansthat we are pretty much home-bound all week long! I have a Golden Retreiver named Abby, and a whitecat named Sam. I was born and raised in San , CA, moved toStockton, CA almost four years ago. 's Daddy moved out of our lovely home around2 years ago, so it's just me and him. I use to work for Kaiser, starting out as a MemberServices representative at the local facility level, eventually moving my way up to the Health PlanRegulatory Services department in the divisionaloffices. When became ill at 13 mos of age, andbecause Kaiser did not have a diagnosis for hismedical condition, (nor, consequently, an adequatetreatment plan), I was forced to resign so that Icould be there for . However, with the recent news from my ex that he istaking off and leaving for Reno, (and that he intendsto leave his $80,000.00 plus a year job and sell ourbeautiful home) I have recently aquired an evening jobthat allows me to take calls and work on the computerfrom home. The hours are usually 10:00pm to 6:00am.(With the recently added income and renting out bothrooms upstairs,I'm hoping that I can make enough moneyso that we can keep the house)Then I waken up at 7:00 so that he can besomewhat bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for his firsttherapist of the day who arrives at our home at 8:00.Oh, and this is the exciting part, thanks to Robynn'ssuggestion, I am to take an on-line course so that Ican become a real-estate appraiser. (if I can stayawake!) My goal is to work as a real-estate appraiser when has been "main-streamed" into school, sothat I can set my own hours. ( will still haveafternoon in-home therapy after school, so willrequire someone to be here.) When I was less heavy, I enjoyed gardening andhiking and generally everything to do with theout-of-doors. I also enjoy reading and, unfortuantely, watching my favorite sitcoms such as Everybody Loves, King of Queens, etc. I also enjoy the moviesfrom the Hallmark channel. I am a very sensitive person, but whose sensitivityalso allows me to be sensitive to others, (or so Ihope!) I find myself, particularly in the last twoyears, very moody and somewhat easy to tear-up. I have not yet gome through the surgery, with nosurgery date yet scheduled. (I am trying to lose the10%) Anywho, just a little bit about me... Pam bPS was there a love connection? My ex-husband (still my friend) is crazy about snow leopards...we've been to every zoo around that has them...he watched the San Francisco babies grow up, and was devastated when the little boy died. The leopards knew his voice or smell or something. Any chance we can come over sometime on a weekend so that he can pet the snow leopard? Guest guest
My name is Tina I am 37 years old and I have 2 kids -- a son, Jarod (7) and a daughter, Grace (4-1/2). I have 2 nephews and 1 neice. I also have a dog named Oreo (Boston Terrier) and a cat named Cookie. Along with the 4 legged creatures, I have a 50 gallon fish tank full of silver dollar tetra's, angel fish, and some miscellaneous " mutts " . I spent most of my life in Edmonds, Washington (just north of Seattle) -- 25 years anyway. I moved to Sacramento after my husband finished school up in Seattle because of no jobs. We thought we'd stay a couple of years and then move back. Well, 11-1/2 years later, WE'RE STILL HERE! I worked for 8 years at the local Girl Scouts here in Rancho Cordova, California. I left that job at the end of October 2004, just a few days after I had my orientation. I was so tired and burnt out so...I went into semi-retirement (thanks Dad & Mom -- who unfortunately passed away last year in September and December). I've been watching my girlfriend's little girl since January. It gives me a little bit of money but I really do need a bit more. Looking for a part-time evening, graveyard type position or something that I can do from home. I dabbled in selling Herbalife for awhile and I still sell it a little bit but...didn't pan out to be the money making venture that I was led to believe it was going to be. Spent way too much money on trying to make that happen! Oh well. My husband () and I have been married for 14 years. He's my best friend and I love him dearly. We've had a few bumps and mountains since surgery, but I know we'll be okay. I'm a sucker for a sad movie and can cry in just about any TV show or movie. Sometimes I think I'm too sensitive for my own good. I love camping, hiking, bike riding, and spending time outdoors (except in 100 degree weather). I'm dying to learn how to rollerblade. I'm going to Kauai next year for my sister's wedding and I'm excited to do the zip line (thanks guys for your discussion on Maui). I've recently thought about being a pharmacy tech and a new class starts on September 24th for 24 weeks and then you have 15 days of externship before you can get a real job. It's an all day Saturday course. IT's something I'm toying with anyway. Too much info, right? I sure wish we would of had the discussion about clothes earlier...I just gave away a ton of 22/24 size jeans, etc. I only have a few remaining ones. If someone needs a couple pair of nice dress slacks in size 26, I've still got those. In fact, one pair still has the tag on it. Guest guest
Hi Cecilia Hope your surgery is uneventful next Wednesday. Sorry, I live too far. I would love to visit you in the hospital. I'm in Riverside area (Southern California). My name is , I'm 43, I have 1 son, married to Len (my 3rd husband, should of been the 2nd one but we broke up) and 1 tortoise-shell colored female cat named Risa who just turned 1 year old on Aug 13. I was born in Ezeiza, (Buenos Aires) Argentina and came here in 1965 at age 3. I am fluent in Spanish (though I don't use it at work) I only speak to my parents & friends. I never taught my son to speak Spanish. I work as a customer service rep at a non-profit organization in the construction field. My interests are crosstitching, walking, going to the gym, attending craft fairs & county fairs. I had Lap RNY on June 22, 2005, my highest weight recorded at Kaiser was 324.5lbs. Presently I am at 264lbs. I gained most of my weight within the last 3 years, I speculate from not chewing food well, back teeth broke. In 2002 I became homeless for almost a year when boyfriend kicked my son & me out of his home. My girlfriend & her husband took us in until I was able to gather money up for an apartment. On Halloween 2003 I got married to Len, a chunky muscular, almost-bald, fair-skinned man that I fell in love with in 1982. He's a movie star too! He played in 3 movies---Blazing Saddles, 's Song & Freaky Friday (1st one). In Blazing Saddles he was only 10 years old, played a small boy with grey hat. Well, so much for now, > My name is Cecilia > > I am 50 years old (52 next thursday) I have two daughters 5 > grandchildren, 3 chihuahuas, 1 min pin , 1 hairless chinese crested, > and one lab.
