Guest guest
Hello All I'm having problems understanding the introductory phase - can you help? The information in the book is spread around a bit and hard to get the hang of. I'm confused as to how you distinguish between die off/Herxheimer/healing crisis, and a reaction to a specific food. I have had the Herxheimer for over a week now - but how do I know it's not actually a reaction to a food? Surely before introducing the full range of the diet you need to have reached a level of wellness in order to spot any reactions? I didn't actually do the introductory phase as my IBS is not too bad - but the neurological symptoms are. Thanks for any help.

The information in the book is spread around a bit and hard > to get the hang of. Meat broth, DCCC (farmer's cheese), a little yogurt while you introduce it, eggs if you do not have severe D, a simple protein lunch and dinner (broiled meat, poultry, fish, can of tuna) and/or more meat broth, pureed carrots from the broth (with added fat - butter, ghee, olive oil, coconut oil). If you react to carrots (as some do), use a different veg. like zucchini. Immediately after you can add in pureed spinach, pureed zucchini, etc. > > I'm confused as to how you distinguish between die off/Herxheimer/ > healing crisis, and a reaction to a specific food. die off = herxheimer. A reaction to a specific food gives you specific symptoms until that food has passed through a part of your intestine or your body. You'll soon learn to recognize a food reaction. Die off can be much broader in nature - fever, headache, general unwellness. > I have had the Herxheimer for over a week now - but how do I know > it's not actually a reaction to a food? It is recommended that everyone does intro. It helps to clear out the body and gives you awareness of what might be effecting you.
