I have the same symptoms. I am just coming off the 2-3 month flare and had to go back on Prednisone that I am now also tapering off. I also notice some digestive noises sometimes after eating but am otherwise back on track. This time I tried Goats Milk yogurt and dripped it overnight in the refridgerator. The result is a really great tasting creamy yogurt. I take some when my stomach is making those digestive noises and you can hear liquid running through you. Now I find with the Goats Milk Dripped yogurt really settles my stomach. For me at least the Goats Milk Yogurt is really healing. Feel Better.

Hello, I have been doing well on the SCD for several weeks. My steroids -- the only med I am taking right now -- were just reduced by my doc by 1/3 with the hope of taping off competely. I has been 3 days and I have gone from feeling great (9 out of 10) to feeling like maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10 (not bad, but not exactly thriving either.) There is no pain exactly, but I don't like how I feel after eating and I especially don't like all the loud digestive sounds my stomach makes. It is all speculation at this point, but does this sound more like a temporary adjustment period or should I be concerned? I used to be able to tolerate Gorganzola and Yogurt on the SCD ... this time around I am not able to tolerate either of those foods at all.

For the first time in 5 years that I have been on the SCD I had

all kinds of rumbling around digestive sounds in my stomach last night (after

eating a lot of vegetable soup). Then, this morning, a surprise(!) B’dy

bm. So in my case I guess it was because of what I ate.

Are you introducing any new foods? Could that be the cause?

I wanted to offer an alternative to what other people were saying. I have UC

and was stuck on steroids for the longest time because every time they took me

off I would flare up. So I just wanted to say, be careful. Obviously

everybody's body responds differently but I know in my case I needed to taper

*really* slowly. In fact I'm in a flare right now, I think partly because after

the most recent flare up I was tapered off pred more quickly than with my last

doctor. Just keep a close eye on how you're feeling because I wouldn't want you

to have to go through the same frustrations I had to.

Good luck!
